Our sunflowers we grow at J P Parker Flower Farm are a flower many associate with our floral company. It give us great joy to grow these, but little did we know what joy they would bring this growing season. One of our favorite event planners we work with Sarah Hines , Accent on Indy , ask if we could have a group of kids plant sunflowers and watch the progress of the growing plus then use the blooms for their annual gala fundraiser. You see these kids are very special kids with Cystic Fibrosis. Sarah has been involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and their annual gala Guys and Dolls for several years. This year the theme was "Plant hope and make a difference" So on October 9 2010 we were able to see the benefit of planting one seed and making a difference. Thank you Sarah for the opportunity to be a part of this great event.
